Oral Presentation

ORAL PRESENTATION GUIDELINES

Please read the following guidelines carefully when preparing your oral presentation.

English is the official language of the Symposium.
The presenting authors are entirely responsible for the presentation content.

Time reserved for a scientific presentation is:

            • Invited speaker presentation – 20-25 minutes (+ 5 minutes for discussion) depending on the session
            • Oral presentation – 15 minutes (+ 10 minutes for discussion)

PRESENTATION FORMAT

The preferred presentation format is a Powerpoint file (*.pptx) with a 16:9 aspect ratio.
However, you can also bring a video file, pdf file, or Powerpoint in a 4:3 aspect ratio.

Supported file types:

            • Presentation: PPT, PPTX, PDF
            • Video: AVI, MPG, MKV, MOV, MP4, WMV

Apple Keynote and Prezi presentations are not supported.

Please bring your USB flash disk. When saving your final presentation to the USB stick, make sure to include your video files and all links to these multimedia files.

 

PRESENTATION UPLOAD

Please note that you cannot use your computer to present due to the complexity of the streaming setup.

To give a presentation, , you must deliver your files to the Lecture room at least 30 minutes before your session (during breaks). AV technicians will check the presentation setting, videos, fonts, or similar and they will assist with possible issues.

Your presentation will be automatically available in the lecture room.

            • Saturday, 6 May – 11:00 – 19:00
            • Sunday, 7 May – 8:00 – 16:30

HOW TO PRESENT

All speakers are requested to be present in the session room about 10 minutes before the session starts to meet with the session chair.

Once the presentation is launched on the computer in the lecture room, you will advance your slideshow using the remote controller.

If any problems occur, there will be assisting staff in each lecture room.
